I received somewhat of a surreal e-mail from Will Shortz ('s assistant) replying to my crossword submission to the New York Times! I learned that they are "not quite exciting enough" and that people still use AOL. Best day in a while. Stay tuned for more.
The first crossword puzzle I made was for a friend. It referenced inside jokes, fictional rap lyrics, and irregular conjugations of rare Spanish verbs. (Okay, fictional conjugations of fictional Spanish verbs.)
But one person does not an audience make. So I started making the content less weird and more solvable. Most of these crosswords are based on the cities I call home. I hope you enjoy the puzzles as much as I enjoy the stories they tell. ◆
